Episode two - Knitting in Style

We have two interviews this episode, so no designing section this time.

Dates to put in your diaries
Check out the iKnit website for the Big London Knitty Treasure Hunt on Worldwide Knit in Public Day. Make sure to put 14 June in your diaries, and start getting your teams together (2 to four people max.)

The guys at iKnit are really getting around this summer - they're going to Camp Bestival (18-20 July), which has a seriously great line-up - I love the Flaming Lips.

And of course, there's the iKnit Day on Saturday 6 September with the Yarn Harlot! There's loads of other attractions, too, so definitely not one to miss. Tickets are going fast...

And start girding your loins for the Knitting and Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace, 9-12 October.

Featured Podcast
Really, who can resist Stephen Fry? His Podgrams are available on iTunes, or through his website.

PURLESCENCE
We talk to Robynn at Purlescence about her online store. (You can also find her on the Glamorous Knitters group on Ravelry.) Robynn stocks extremely desirable accessories from such top-end producers of luxurious knitting goods as Lantern Moon, Perl Grey, Offhand Designs, Namaste, and many more. She also stocks yarn from Handmaiden, Indigo Moon and Artyarns, amongst others.

Make sure you check out her Storytellers competition. We mention the Kingfisher Cape by Huan-Hua Chye, as well as the Cheshire Cat Stole by Carrie Griffin and the Sherlock Holmes Dartmoor Scarf by Regina Williams, but there are many other stunning designs and stories, so do have a look around.

Here's Robynn's beautiful Moebius scarf, made from Artyarns Silk Rhapsody:

LinkRobynn

You can also find this Moebius on Robynn's projects page, here. You can find a pic of her socks, also a Ravelry link, here. And click here for the Lacy Cables Knee Socks pattern.

Thanks once again to Robynn for an extremely engaging interview.

EasyKnits
We had so much fun talking to Jon from EasyKnits and his husband, Roy at the Greenwich Union microbrewery. Here are the mittens we talk about - and obsessed over - more than once during the podcast.

Also a link to Jon's Ravelry projects page.

If you'd like to see the songs that the guys at iKnit asked Jon to put yarns to, look for I Knit vs EasyKnits in the iMix section on iTunes.

Look at the beautiful yarn that Jon bought us! Sally's is the Venetian Sunset colourway, Justine's is Lagoon - both inspired by Jon's visit to Venice.

Jon gets his yarn from Bluefaced.com

Music today comes from the Podsafe music network: 'Grizzly Bear' from the All Girl Summer Fun Band.
